We are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team based in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for supporting the Trusts Care Groups, delivering high quality and timely financial management services to all budget holders.
Working as an integral member of the Finance Team, the Finance Officer will organise personal workload to meet all relevant financial timetables. The post holder will support team members with forecasting, costing, budget setting and expenditure analysis.

Main duties of the jobThe Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the Management Accountants Team delivering a high quality and timely financial management service to budget holders within the Care Groups.
At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor anyone for a skilled worker visa for this role. We accept applications from candidates who can prove their right to work in the UK or via alternative visa routes.

Person Specification Special Knowledge/Skills- Band 3
- Broad understanding of day to day Finance functions.
- Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Able to provide reliable, relevant accurate and timely information.
- Basic Excel skills.
- Band 4
- In-depth knowledge of operation of financial ledger.
- Good understanding of budget setting processes.
- Able to produce clear working papers which can be understood by finance managers and budget holders.
- Good understanding of process and importance of monthly management accounts.
- Understanding of external reporting and accounting policies in relation to production of Annual Accounts.
- Able to develop good working relationships with budget holders and their teams provide reliable, relevant accurate and timely information.
