An opportunity has arisen for an Audio Typist/ Admin Support within the Cardiology Department at Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Secretarial staff in providing an efficient and effective typing/clerical service.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative, as well as being part of a team. They must be a proficient Audio Typist with the ability to transcribe complex digital dictation and provide daily administration service support within cardiology secretarial team.
Main duties of the jobTo provide a typing service by means of audio/copy typing, ensuring all appropriate investigations are organised and dealt with correctly and within appropriate time span.
To carry out clerical tasks including photocopying, distribution of information etc
To assist with any other clerical/reception duties as seen to be necessary by the manager.

- GCSE English (grade A to
C) or equivalent. - RSA Stage 2 typing/word processing and audio typing or equivalent.
- ECDL/BT2 or equivalent.
- Previous clerical experience.
- Experience of information systems.
- Knowledge of confidentiality
- Understanding of secretarial/clerical processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of hospital patient administration system.
