An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individuals who want to work as part of a passionate, friendly and successful team with our Planned Investigation Unit and Urology Investigation Unit.
This role is an existing role and will be for 3 full days as part of ajob share post. This is a expansion ofservice showing continued growth within the team, adding an additional rolewill ensure the current workload and on going developments can be supported.
We are looking for skilled and accomplished individuals with the ability to drive our vision for further improvement. You will need a proven track record of working closely with patients and being able to provide themwith the best possible experience while they are under our care.
This role works for a shared reception function across both the Medical and Surgical Business Units.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprenticeswho are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that thesalary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75% max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
Main duties of the jobTo undertake reception and administrative duties including the accurate and timely recording of patient activity data on Trust systems. To undertake clerical and related duties and enable the leadnurse and other clinical staff to concentrate more freely on direct patient care. This will involve considerableliaison with other departments and wards.

- Previous clerical/administrative experience.
- Experience of direct telephone contact with patients/clients and staff.
- Experience of working with staff at all levels.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality.
- Awareness of Health and Safety requirement.
- Knowledge of the Healthcare/organisation environment.
- Knowledge of windows based computer packages.
- Knowledge of Careflow.
- Minimum of 3 Grade A-C GCSEs or relevant equivalent knowledge/experience.
- NVQ in customer care/or relevant equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Excellent verbal/telephone communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to prioritise work load.
- Ability to manage your time effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to display sensitivity and tact at all times.
- Ability to collate information.
- Ability to efficiently respond to patient needs using critical thinking skills.
