We have an excellent Band 6 opportunity for a Dietitian to work in our busy Community Nutrition & Dietetics Service in Barnsley on a permanent part time basis (18.75 hours per week)
The post is varied and interesting, and we are looking for a Dietitian with the necessary skills and experience to be able to cover a range of community dietetics including: community clinics, some complex nutrition support for people who are housebound and home enteral nutrition.
Our team is friendly and welcoming, supporting each other to provide the best nutritional care for the people of Barnsley.
You will need excellent team working, communication, organisation and time management skills, as well as be able to demonstrate a commitment to CPD.
This is a community-based role; applicants must have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes. A contribution to the training of student dietitians is also required.
At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. For this reason, we are unable to sponsor anyone for a skilled worker visa for this role.

Main duties of the jobAs a Band 6 Community Dietitian you will:
Manage a caseload requiring dietetic intervention in the community this may include a range of settings such as care homes and supported living, clinics and patients own homes.
Be able to provide dietetic assessment and intervention for a range of conditions including specialist interventions such as enteral feeding, patients with learning disabilities and those requiring complex nutrition support.
Work as a part of our team of dietitians and dietetic assistants.
Have a patient centred approach in line with our Trust values.
Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills to negotiate and build rapport with patients, carers and families.
Work with key members of multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide individualised advice, support & care plans to patients.
Participate in education & staff development, clinical supervision and the delivery of dietetic student training.
