Our HCAs support clients in their own homes, helping them to remain independent, comfortable and connected to their community. You will be a regular, trusted face in their everyday lives, typically visiting the same clients several times a week and becoming part of their routine and support network.

Your role will be diverse and meaningful and will be based on person-centred care.

• Customer help with showering, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene
• Assistance with safe mobility at home
• Assist clients to keep habits that promote independence and dignity

• Assist or prompt clients with medication as specified by care plans
• Cook to dietary needs
• Provide feeding assistance as needed

• Offer human connection warmly to combat loneliness
• Engage customers in meaningful activities that add value to their day
• Assist with social visits, travels to the community, grocery shopping and life events

• Track and log client welfare using our digital care planning system
• Immediately notify senior personnel of changes

• Keep your home safe and tidy with light cleaning and laundry

• maintain ECC’s protection standards
• Maintain confidentiality of information and observe all health & safety requirements

We provide further training for team members who successfully finish their probationary period. If you’re ready to learn, we’re ready to help.

Your week won’t be the same every day. You can work:

• Double-staffed calls with coworkers
• Visits from social support
• Occasional evenings awake
