Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Environment / Infection Control Coordinator to join our ward teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and wants to make a real difference to patient care. Working closely with nursing, domestic, estates and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in supporting clean, safe and effective clinical environments in maternity.

Main duties of the jobAs an Environment / Infection Control Coordinator, you will:
Support infection prevention and control standards across the ward environment.
Monitor and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
Report and follow up environmental issues and maintenance concerns.
Undertake stock checks and assist with ward organisation.
Ensure patient bed spaces are clean, safe and fully stocked following discharge.
Act as a Hand Hygiene Champion following appropriate training.
Work alongside ward staff, domestic teams, infection prevention teams and other departments to maintain excellent standards.
Support audits and improvement initiatives that enhance patient care.
