Server Engineer II

Leggett & Platt Inc. is searching for a Server Engineer II within our Global Server Operations team to help support our business.

As a Server Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to manage, monitor, and maintain both our enterprise server and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting and modernizing network platforms and infrastructure for the organization. This is an on‑site position at our branch in Barnsley.

• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources including virtual machines, virtual networks, and storage accounts
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Manage patching, updates, and lifecycle maintenance for our server and cloud infrastructure
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure issues
• Enforce security best practices, policies, and compliance standards
• Optimize cloud usage and spending through Azure Cost Management, budgeting, and tools
• Collaborate with development teams, security teams, and IT operations to support application and infrastructure needs
• Document configurations, operational procedures, and runbooks
• Assist with cloud migrations from on‑premises or other cloud platforms

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience administering server and Microsoft Azure environments
• Strong understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS services
• Strong understanding of Networking concepts (VNets, VPNs, Express Route, NSGs)
• Strong understanding of Identity and access management (Azure AD, Conditional Access)
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (Power Shell, Azure CLI)
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
• Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies

• Experience with:
  Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• Experience with:
  Hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with:
  Cloud financial management / Fin Ops
• Experience with:
  Application platforms including containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with:
  Familiarity with industry compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, HIPAA, etc.)
