We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join a growing technology team responsible for building, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and hardware integration projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Build and configure server, storage, and networking equipment.
- Assemble and integrate enterprise rack solutions to customer specifications.
- Install hardware components including memory, storage, NICs, and power infrastructure.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Complete BIOS, firmware, and software updates across multiple vendor platforms.
- Install and manage cabling, labelling, and rack elevations to a high standard.
- Conduct system testing, quality control checks, and hardware validation.
- Support data centre deployments, project builds, and customer onboarding activities.
- Work from technical documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and customer requirements.
- Capture asset information, MAC addresses, licensing details, and build documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist with inventory processing, order modifications, and shipping readiness.
- Maintain compliance with security, quality, and operational standards.
- Experience with servers, storage, networking, or IT infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and diagrams.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with rack builds, structured cabling, and hardware installations is highly desirable.
- A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
