Facilities Management Caretaker will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team ensuring buildings are maintained safely and securely in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
Responsibilities- Porter goods and equipment between various BMBC buildings.
- Set up meeting rooms and events when needed.
- Conduct building walk rounds and perform basic handyman tasks within BMBC buildings as required.
- Report any issues to the FM Helpdesk.
- Be responsible for general maintenance both internally and externally of the buildings ensuring a safe environment for employees, visitors and contractors.
- Undertake minor repairs and maintenance to premises and equipment as required in line with Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out operational duties in all weathers including litter picking, bin emptying, cleansing all associated areas, removal of sharps, fly tipping, graffiti, human waste, snow clearance, gardening and weed killing as required.
- English speaking to appropriate standard.
- Basic Criminal Record Check.
- Account of significant time living abroad if applicable.
- Valid visa and relevant legal documents must be ready.
