Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:00am 9:00am

About the Role

Barnsley College is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our Estates team. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment across our campuses for students, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily cleaning duties across College premises.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and consumables.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling appropriately.
  • Report maintenance issues, hazards and health & safety concerns.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Work independently and as part of the wider Estates team.
  • Support the College's commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity.
About You

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness.

Essential Criteria
  • Minimum Level 1 literacy and numeracy or willingness to achieve.
  • At least one year's cleaning experience in an educational or professional environment.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
