Housekeeper - Oakwood Grange, Barnsley
Hours available: 21, 35 or 40 hours per week. Full-time and part-time positions available. Looking for a role that offers flexibility, a friendly team and the chance to make a genuine difference every day?
We’re looking for Housekeepers to join our team at Oakwood Grange in Barnsley, with a choice of 21, 35 or 40 hours per week.
Whether you’re looking for part-time hours to fit around your other commitments or a full-time position with more hours, we’d love to hear from you. We can offer some flexibility around shifts and will discuss the available working patterns with you during the recruitment process.
The roleAs a Housekeeper, you’ll play an important part in making Oakwood Grange a welcoming place to live and work.
It’s about much more than keeping things clean and tidy. You’ll help create a clean, pleasant and safe environment for our residents, helping them feel comfortable and at home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out day-to-day housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the home
- Making sure communal areas and residents’ spaces are clean, welcoming and well maintained
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and effectively
- Following health and safety, infection control and COSHH procedures
- Ensuring cleaning products are stored appropriately
- Reporting any equipment or health and safety concerns to your manager
- Working alongside colleagues to maintain high standards throughout the home
- The role is focused on creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and colleagues.
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience would be helpful, but just as important is having the right attitude and taking pride in your work.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and respectful
- Organised with good time-management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable prioritising tasks around residents’ needs
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Understanding of the importance of health and safety, confidentiality and safeguarding
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable rather than essential.
