A well-established small animal practice in Barnsley is looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Head Nurse to lead its nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident veterinary nurse who enjoys leadership teamwork and maintaining high clinical and customer care standards.
The Head Nurse will play a central role in supporting guiding and developing the nursing team ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
The ideal candidateThe practice is seeking a candidate with solid clinical experience who is:
- Confident and self-motivated
- Approachable engaging and supportive
- Passionate about mentoring and developing RVNs student nurses and VCAs
- Comfortable leading by example and supporting team performance
The role includes both clinical and leadership responsibilities with a strong focus on team development organisation and maintaining excellent standards of patient care.
Working pattern:
- 4 days per week
- 9-hour shifts
- 1 in 4 weekends
- Duty nights on a rotational basis
