£35,000 per year - 40 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
Role Summary - Arborists
A new arboricultural team is being established in the Barnsley area, and we’re looking for skilled Arborist Climbers to help shape and deliver a high‑quality tree‑care service. The work will cover a broad mix of operations, including tree removals, crown management, deadwood removal, planting and general maintenance.

What You’ll Be Doing - Arborists
Carrying out a range of arboricultural tasks such as dismantling, pruning, crown lifting/thinning/reduction and planting.
Performing climbing duties safely and confidently as part of daily operations.
Looking after tools, machinery, vehicles and climbing equipment to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
Working closely with colleagues to deliver reliable, high‑standard results for clients and the local community.
Maintaining a strong focus on safe systems of work and industry best practice.
What We’re Looking For - Arborists
Previous experience working as a Climbing Arborist.
Solid understanding of arboricultural safety procedures and risk‑aware working.
Relevant NPTC/LANTRA qualifications, ideally including:
Level 3 Maintenance (formerly CS30/31)
Level 3 Climb Trees & Perform Aerial Rescue (formerly CS38)
Level 2 Chainsaw from Rope & Harness (formerly CS39)
Level 3 Aerial Rigging (formerly CS41)
Full UK driving licence.
Good attention to detail and a willingness to continue developing skills.
A recent DBS check is beneficial, though one can be arranged if required.
