Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support manufacturing operations by maintaining and improving quality processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal audits and support compliance with ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
  • Analyse quality performance data and provide insight-driven recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer concerns, and production quality issues, ensuring effective containment and long-term resolutions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product quality and process capability.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support risk reduction activities through process reviews and quality planning techniques.
Skills & Experience Required as a Quality Engineer:
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • ISO 9001 auditing experience or qualification.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), or similar.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and solution-focused approach.
