General Maintenance Operative – Electrical Bias
Barnsley – £32,000‑£34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Location: BHF Priory Centre, Barnsley with responsibility across the wider estate.
- Salary: £32,000‑£34,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, worked across 4 or 5 days on a rolling roster.
- Contract: Permanent, Full‑time.
- Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and minor electrical works across all buildings.
- Responding to reactive maintenance issues and supporting planned preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring electrical systems and equipment are safe, compliant, and functioning effectively.
- Completing building checks, inspections, and compliance‑related tasks.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors to ensure works are completed to specification.
- Keeping accurate maintenance records and reporting any safety concerns or property issues.
- Experience in a maintenance or building services role, with an electrical bias.
- Good understanding of electrical safety and practical knowledge of repairs or installations.
- Ability to diagnose issues and carry out general maintenance across multiple trades.
- Strong awareness of health and safety and building compliance.
- Someone proactive, organised, and able to manage their workload across multiple sites.
- A full driving licence is beneficial due to travel across the estate.
