Children and Young People’s Empowerment Project (Chilypep)
Job DescriptionEmbedded within our emotional wellbeing hub, we are looking to recruit a project worker for our Girls@HOME programme, a new project supporting young women aged 16‑25 to improve their mental health, better understand themselves, and make positive decisions about their future.
ResponsibilitiesYou will deliver 1‑to‑1 and group work support for young women, addressing a range of needs including:
- Mental health
- Education
- Employability
- Healthy relationships
- Sexual health and support
As part of the wellbeing programme team you will support the referral process and cover sessions as required.
Qualifications- Proven experience working with young women aged 16‑25 and knowledge around mental health.
- Deep understanding of the stereotypical socialisation of young women in Barnsley and the wider impact of misogyny on structural systems at a national level and its impact on young women.
