Volunteer Criminal Justice Support About The Role
This is a frontline, client‑facing role that involves close collaboration with partner agencies such as the Police, Probation, the Liaison and Diversion team, Prisons, and others. You will deliver a targeted and responsive service to individuals, ranging from harm reduction and brief interventions to structured treatment. Every recovery journey will be tailored to the individual's unique needs and priorities. Working across various Criminal Justice settings including police custody, courts, and secure estates you will adopt a holistic, “whole person” approach.
Support packages will be personalised, flexible, and realistic, addressing all aspects of wellbeing, not just substance use. The aim is to achieve the best possible outcomes for each individual.
Alongside meaningful work, you will enjoy the following:
- Discounts from various schemes
- Training and personal development
- A chance to make a real difference in people’s lives
- Free induction and role‑specific training
- Support from experienced staff and regular supervision
- Opportunities to meet new people and develop your confidence
- Reimbursement for travel and agreed expenses
- Valuable experience that can support your personal or career development
- Inclusion and accessibility
Waythrough is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities, especially those with lived experience of the issues we support.
