Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour

Times & Days: Monday to Friday – 7:00am start

Position Type: Ongoing, Temporary

The Best Connection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Class 1 (C+E) Day Driver to join a well-established transport and logistics business based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 driver seeking consistent weekday work with regular start times, carrying out multidrop deliveries.

About the Role Your duties will include:

Completing full pre- and post-vehicle checks
Carrying out multidrop deliveries to customer sites as per planned routes
Following delivery schedules and instructions accurately
Completing trunking, palletised multidrop deliveries or general haulage work (depending on route)
Communicating professionally with the transport office and customers
Ensuring all paperwork and delivery notes are completed correctly
Adhering to all company and industry health & safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

Valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) Licence
Previous Class 1 driving experience
Experience with multidrop work preferred
No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
Reliable, professional and punctual
Comfortable with early morning starts
