Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join the team based in Barnsley. You will be working on a full‑time, permanent basis, 4 On 4 Off and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £28,819.93 per annum plus excellent company benefits.

- Receive and check loads into the warehouse, ensuring all correct packaging and labelling is in place
- Ensure all stock handled is secure and complies with relevant food safety standards
- Operate assigned mechanical handling equipment to store and transport customer goods safely
- Assist with assembling loads for despatch and onto vehicles
- Conduct quality checks to ensure standards of cleanliness and hygiene levels
- Take action to ensure any hazards are controlled or removed to ensure a safe working environment
- Up‑to‑date licence to use designated mechanical equipment
- IT literate in Microsoft Office packages
- The ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
- Extensive knowledge and application of warehouse, food safety rules and health and safety procedures
- Ability to use initiative and to be organised so that key tasks are completed fully and on time
- Ability to work to set targets and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven arithmetic skills
- Effective working in a team‑based environment
