You will be directly involved in all aspects of warehouse operation tasks such as despatching, receiving, inventory management and order fulfilment.

As a Warehouse Operative with a deep understanding of warehouse procedures, you will strive to improve processes and commit to continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum space utilization.
  • Strive for service excellence, making the customer the primary focus, and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize storage utilization.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring all required documentation is correct. Coordinate with carriers for timely and cost-effective shipments.
  • Perform accurate and regular inventory cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of stock records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify goods against purchase orders for accuracy and quality, and process returns.
  • Conduct regular Health and Safety inspections in the warehouse. Operate and maintain all warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Independently handle and resolve any warehouse-related issues, such as shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Working closely with the Sales team to deliver customer orders to supply chain hubs, hospitals and exhibitions. Support the Sales team with necessary equipment assembly and participate in training requirements.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to carry out such other duties as may be required and as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. As the sole on-site operative, you must efficiently prioritize and manage all operational tasks, from receiving to shipping, without direct supervision.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability:
The ability to think on your feet and resolve unexpected issues, such as delivery delays, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies, is crucial.
  • High degree of autonomy and self-motivation:
This role requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can maintain productivity and focus in an unsupervised environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail:
Maintaining a high level of accuracy in inventory management, record-keeping, and order fulfilment is paramount to prevent errors and financial losses.
  • Effective communication:
Although working alone, you will need to clearly and concisely communicate with other departments, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency:
Expertise in using WMS and other software for tracking inventory, processing orders, and reporting is a core technical requirement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening skills.
  • Forklift licence/experience desirable; if not, must be willing to be trained.
  • Full manual driving licence, preferably clean, as periodic journeys will be required between warehouses.
BENEFITS:
  • 27,000- 30,000 per annum
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hours to be confirmed
