Client Manager

A growing firm of chartered accountants based in Barnstaple is looking for a Client Manager to join them as a key addition where you will take on the management of a client portfolio across varied industry sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, managing the delivery of year end accounts, tax and wider services. For those looking for an opportunity to progress beyond management to become a Director/Partner, there is a genuine path on offer.

Based in Barnstaple the firm's clients are wide ranging in sector, turnover and industry range to cover the range of smaller sole traders and partnerships, alongside a large client base of OMBs and SMEs, up into the £millions in turnover on larger clients. The firm is highly regarded and established, undergoing continued positive growth. The firm and environment provides an opportunity where the right professional can progress towards becoming a partner/director.

Joining as Client Manager based from the firm’s Barnstaple offices you will lead and manage the delivery of year accounts, tax and wider services to clients across varied industries and turnover ranges taking on the management of a full client portfolio. You will develop client relationships, working on wider advisory/business services and delivering wider project work as well as developing, mentoring and supporting the wider team.

A progression path is on offer here and there is opportunity to carve an influential, key role within this firm.

You will be any of ACA/ACCA/CTA etc qualified, or equivalent with a career background within the accountancy practice sector. You will have worked with accounting firm environments across any size range. You will have developed technical skills across any of accounts/tax/audit and all around, general accountancy practice service delivery to wide ranging sole trade, partnership and limited company clients. You will have developed your career to around the Client Manager levels and be looking for a career move where you can see potential to progress.
