Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a well-regarded accountancy practice in Barnstaple, which has developed an excellent reputation locally and enjoys a very low staff turnover. Due to continued demand for its services, the practice is now looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join its established team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountancy practice accountant looking to build on their existing experience within a friendly environment where development and long-term progression are encouraged.

• Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax compliance
• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments where required
• Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Supporting senior colleagues with a range of accounting and taxation assignments
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure client deadlines are met and work is completed to a high standard
• Developing your technical knowledge through practical experience and ongoing training

Have previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment and be keen to continue developing their technical skills.

Part or full AAT qualification would be advantageous, although strong relevant practice experience will also be considered. You'll be organised, pro‑active and confident communicating with both clients and colleagues, with a positive approach to learning and development. Just as importantly, you'll enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a positive working environment.
