CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST

After 5pm, imaging is sent to an outsourcing company and then overnight to the Peninsula Radiology On-Call, (PROC). This post is offered on a whole-time basis (10 PA) but suitably qualified applicants who are unable to work full-time will be considered as would an appointment on an initial fixed term contract with a view to a substantive post subsequently.
The department provides high quality general and specialist services with excellent working relationships with the various medical and surgical teams across the hospital and with the GP body in the North Devon community. There are plenty of opportunities for self-development in areas such as education via our links with the Peninsula Radiology Academy or in more specialist services via our collaborative links with the Eastern Services in Exeter as part of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The Trust has an electronic patient record (EPIC), an electronic GP Ordercomms system, a multi-million-pound research facility, a significant development budget and big plans for the future.
