Ani-Mates Training Assistant

We are looking for an assistant to our lead trainer for a new weekly visual arts achool for 7-11yrs in Ilfracombe called Ani-Mates.

The successful candidate will be overseeing visual arts based activities for children, ensuring that they are undertaken in a safe and effective manner and that relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.

To contribute to the preparation of activities including the organisation & clearing of the facility at the end of the session.

Supporting children participating in Ani-Mates visual arts activities.

Adhering to Ani-Mates safeguarding rules and responsibilities.

Help with preparing portfolios for children undertaking Arts Award qualifications.

This is an entry level position, MNW for age, 3 hours a week in term time, with the option of additional hours.

Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check.

• An interest in Animation
• Visual Arts
• Illustration
• Working with young people
• Can work late afternoons and/or weekends during term time
• Have a GCSE or higher in a visual arts subject
• Enjoy working with young people
• Comfortable supporting the needs of the young people learning visual arts skills
• Will follow Animating Devon's safeguarding and Prevent policies
• Can work on own initiative
