• Plan and carry out food safety inspections in line with statutory requirements
• Ensure food businesses comply with relevant food safety legislation
• Record inspection findings accurately and maintain clear documentation
• Provide professional advice and guidance to food business operators
• Work in line with council policies and regulatory standards
• Support service delivery within agreed timescales

• Must-Have Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Relevant qualifications, licences, or registrations legally required to carry out food inspections
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
• Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Previous experience carrying out food safety inspections
  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
  • Familiarity with food safety legislation and enforcement procedures
