This is your opportunity to work with the Orthopaedic Therapy team at North Devon District Hospital, with an integrated team of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Staff.
The Post holder will be responsible for assisting the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff in delegated duties regarding mobility, personal care assessments, equipment ordering, discharge planning and progressing patients with their rehabilitation goals.
The post holder will be working on the Trauma and Elective Orthopaedic Wards.

Working in a Clinical support worker role is an ideal opportunity to gain experience and have opportunities for career development.
Within the Therapy department we nurture a workforce of home‑grown talent and are proud of our staff who have begun careers in a Therapy support worker role and have progressed into other specialist roles or registrant roles.
Are you:
- Able to demonstrate experience in Health Care, have transferrable skills into Therapy.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of a Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Good at working in a team.
- Good at listening and supporting patients with their goals.
- Enthusiastic to learn.
- Work flexibly and adapt to a busy working environment.
- Take responsibility for your work and organise your day.
- Understand the importance of professional behaviour.
- Able to therapeutically handle patient in relation to assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
- Able to communicate with the appropriate response and manner to both patients and carers / family during emotional times.
- Have the ability to get around to see patients in the Community.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. 7 day working rolling pattern.
