Overview
Job Title: Children s Residential Support Worker
Location: Minehead, Somerset
Salary: Up to £39,500 + sleep-in pay
Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of care and safety for young people
- Develop and oversee individual care plans tailored to each young person
- Mentor and support junior staff members
- Safeguard the welfare and promote the development of children and young people
- Liaise effectively with professionals, families, and external agencies
- Manage behaviour effectively and safely
- Handle healthcare and administrative duties as required
- Participate in on-call and sleep-in rotas to ensure continuous support
- Proven experience in support work, with some leadership or supervisory background
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support a team effectively
- Proactive, organised, and dependable approach to work
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, on-call, and sleep-ins
