About the Role

Are you an experienced neurological physiotherapist ready to take the next step in your career? Or are you an established Band 7 looking for an exciting leadership opportunity within an innovative, research-active service with a strong focus on work-life balance? We would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Band 7 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to join our friendly and forward-thinking Neurorehabilitation Outpatient Team. We are an integrated team across Northern and Eastern sites providing equitable Neuro- outpatient rehabilitation across the geography of Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Our Neurorehabilitation outpatient service has a strong reputation for collaborative working, innovation and delivering high-quality patient-centred care. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where staff feel valued, empowered and encouraged to develop their skills and interests. We celebrate new ideas and believe that everyone has a voice in shaping the future of our service

Within this role you will provide expert assessment and evidence-based rehabilitation for people living with a range of long-term neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, stroke and functional neurological disorder, alongside a variety of other neurological diagnoses. You will manage a complex caseload, using advanced clinical reasoning to deliver person-centred rehabilitation that promotes independence, wellbeing and quality of life.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide clinical leadership, supporting and developing colleagues through supervision, mentoring and teaching, while contributing to service development, quality improvement, audit and research. You will work collaboratively with ourwider Neurorehabilitation and Neurology services, including regular MDT working with Neurologists and Clinical Nurse Specialists.

The service offers a range of specialist interventions, including spasticity management, botulinum toxin clinics, hydrotherapy, functional electrical stimulation and rehabilitation groups. Our established outpatient services include spasticity management and botulinum toxin clinics, hydrotherapy, FES, postural care, splinting and a range of rehabilitation groups and classes. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop these services in response to patient need and emerging evidence.

We are passionate about investing in our people. You will join an experienced and supportive senior team with excellent opportunities for specialist clinical development, leadership training, advanced clinical practice, research and innovation. We actively encourage our staff to develop new ideas and shape the future of Neurorehabilitation.

Whether you are a Band 6 ready to take your first step into a leadership role or an experienced Band 7 seeking a new challenge, we offer a supportive environment where you can develop your expertise, lead others and make a meaningful difference to people living with neurological conditions.

Flexible working options are available, and we welcome informal conversations and visits to meet the team and find out more about this exciting opportunity.
