Human Resources Director

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Barnstaple, North Devon for the position of Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director will oversee all HR functions, including handling employee relations, developing and implementing HR policies, managing performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. They will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, fostering a positive work environment and driving initiatives to support organizational growth and employee development.

• Expertise in Human Resources (HR) and HR Policies to develop and implement effective practices and procedures
• Strong skills in Employee Relations and Performance Management, ensuring a supportive and high-performing workforce
• Comprehensive knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively lead and inspire the HR team and collaborate with other departments
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Prior experience in the social care or residential childcare sector is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced HR certification is a plus
