PeoplePartner - Resins, Filtration and Media (RFM) - UK and Ireland
The People Partner will be a strategic Human Resources partner in the United Kingdom and Ireland and is responsible for delivering the local associate experience – shaping and delivering strategies for engagement, culture, talent and the employer brand. The role anticipates and mitigates people risk, ensures compliant governance, and influences leaders to deliver an inclusive and positive associate culture while enabling people leaders to lead with confidence and clarity.
The RFM Businesses deliver an integrated portfolio of bioprocessing solutions that combine resin, fiber and membrane‑based purification technologies with a comprehensive range of filtration consumables and cell culture products. The role works closely with Global HR Business Partners, our Centers of Excellence, other People Partners within UK and HR Shared Services to deliver scalable, compliant execution while maintaining ownership of the people agenda.
They model modern HR ways of working, using self‑service and case management tools as the primary entry point for HR support.
This position reports to the HR Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland and is part of the UK and Ireland Human Resources Team located in Ilfracombe and will be an on‑site role with regular travel to the other RFM sites as required. Relocation assistance is available.
This role will have responsibility for the following manufacturing sites within the UK in addition to the non‑manufacturing associates within RFM businesses:
- Ilfracombe
- Portsmouth, Walton Road
- Stevenage
- People Strategy & Leader Advisory: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the RFM site leadership teams on people strategy, organizational health, and workforce risk. Enable People Leaders through coaching and guidance on complex leadership topics (e.g., organizational change, policy interpretation, leader effectiveness).
- Governance, Risk, & Compliance: Own local people governance across sites, ensuring compliant, consistent application of HR policies and standards. Anticipate and manage risk, including crisis and emergency response, in partnership with site leadership and specialist teams. Partner with the Labour and Employee Relations COE to assess risk, govern escalations, and strengthen preventative practices.
- Talent, Change Leadership and Culture: Activate global practices and policies locally, leading or sponsoring key change initiatives and enabling cross‑business collaboration.
- Engagement Execution: Partner regionally to align engagement and workforce priorities across sites, ensuring consistent execution within enterprise guardrails. Advance local associate experience through listening channels and people analytics to set priorities and guide decisions.
- Undergraduate degree, with proven and extensive experience of progressive leadership roles in HR, MBA preferred.
- Proven experience within a single‑site manufacturing environment is essential, while experience across a multi‑site manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Broad HR generalist expertise (ER, compliance, talent, engagement) with ability to independently translate global standards into locally compliant practices.
- Skilled in coaching and influencing People Leaders on sensitive matters and driving adoption of modern HR operating practices (self‑service/case management).
- Track record in leading local HR projects/change with moderate‑to‑high complexity and delivering measurable improvements to the associate experience. Use people data and associate insights to spot trends and recommend actions with HRBPs/COEs and business leaders.
- Continuous improvement and process oriented – has familiarity with lean principles, problem solving and how to apply them to Human Resources in a measurable and sustainable way.
- Expected travel up to 30% to other RFM sites in the United Kingdom, as required.
