Our client is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operation and play a key role in improving production processes, supporting new product introductions, and driving operational efficiency.
Working closely with Production, Quality, and Tooling teams, you will help develop robust manufacturing processes, resolve technical issues, and implement improvements that enhance quality, productivity, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
- Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from launch through to stable production.
- Investigate production and quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Analyse process data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Create and maintain process documentation, routings, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
About You
- Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).
- Experience with in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process control.
- Proactive approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Experience with NPI, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, SPC, or root cause analysis techniques.
- Experience with in casting, foundry, machining, or metal manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
