Role Overview and Responsibilities

Working as an essential part of the manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Operator will be directly manufacturing Magnetics based products in accordance with recognised industry standards to detailed drawings/schedules & specifications.

This role is based on a 39 hour week, Monday to Thursday.

An intensive training programme will be part of the onboarding process. This training programme will be approximately 12 weeks long, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manufacture, check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Manufacture products in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints.
  • Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
  • Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
  • Work within a zero harm culture.

The role requires a zero tolerance to defects.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Take a proactive approach in an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate an interest in winding, soldering, assembly, wiring operations.
  • After initial training, be able to work in accordance with internal documents/customer drawings/schedules to recognised standards.
  • The product mix is low volume, multiple products and therefore requires the ability to learn new products quickly.
  • Thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Be able to focus and concentrate without distraction
  • Be able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines.
  • Have strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with very small components

The following would enhance your application, but are not essential to apply:

  • Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO
    9001 or AS9100.
