Temporary Head Chef (Temporary, 10‑week assignment)

We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Temporary Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy pub in a beautiful coastal village near Seaton, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a fast‑paced kitchen, lead from the front, and maintain high standards throughout a 10‑week assignment.

• Lead and manage a kitchen team of 5 chefs and 2 kitchen porters
• Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
• Maintain exceptional food quality, menu consistency, and kitchen standards
• Manage stock ordering, food safety, compliance, and kitchen administration
• Inspire, support, and motivate the team to deliver an outstanding dining experience

• Hours:
  
  Average of 45 hours per week
• Pay rate: £21.00 per hour
• Weekly pay & holiday pay
• Accommodation:
  Shared live‑in staff accommodation on site
• Parking:
  Free on‑site parking

• Previous experience as a Head Chef
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a busy kitchen and motivate a team
• Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
• Available to start immediately
