Retail Supervisor – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Barnstaple, Devon. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 24 hours work each week, generally including some weekend work.

  24 hours per week.
• Pay: £13.11 per hour (guaranteed at least £314 per week). Overtime may be available.

• Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager's absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop the team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Be a 'people person' who easily builds strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable – essential for a small team.
• Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not mandatory; we welcome candidates ready to take the first steps in a retail management career.
