• Build and maintain crucial supplier relationships, negotiating optimal prices and terms.
• Review customer order book and expedite supplier purchase orders to ensure sales orders are shipped on time.
• Expedite with suppliers when required and communicate all potential issues to internal customers/stakeholders.
• Ensure all purchase orders raised reflect demand and forecasted requirements against agreed stock levels and order quantities using lean Plan For Every Part (PFEP) techniques.
• Ensure efficient inventory control with accurate forecasting and timely ordering.
• Confirm purchase order and maintain vendor promise dates in the electronic system so that sales order dates are maintained to latest promise.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness and an interest in procurement and supply chain management.
• A proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles within a manufacturing or operational setting.
