The Agency of Transportation seeks a Civil Engineer I to work in the Structures Section, contributing to engineering development of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects throughout Vermont. The role involves scoping analysis, bridge and roadway design, CADD modeling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams from project conception through contract plan completion. This permanent, full-time position is based in Barre, VT with partial telework available.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural engineering, or related technical field
- Associates degree in civil engineering or related field with two years of engineering experience, or Engineer Intern licensure
- College senior in final year of bachelor's degree program in civil engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge of bridge design, roadway alignment, and structural analysis
- Proficiency with CADD modeling and technical documentation
- Ability to work in office and field settings; private transportation required
