Lead food safety and quality programs at Richardson Oilseed in Barrhead, AB, using laboratory expertise and supervisory leadership. Support plant operations through effective quality oversight.
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will supervise the Products Quality Control and Quality Assurance program. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead unionized employees and support the Products plant leadership team. The work includes HACCP, ISO systems, laboratory policies, data analysis, and regulatory and safety issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the Products Quality Control and Assurance program
- Implement food safety and quality procedures effectively
- Investigate non-conformances and respond to customer complaints
- Lead, train, coach, and monitor the QA technical team
- Advance QA goals and continuous plant improvement
- Degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or food science
- At least two years of laboratory environment experience
- Level 1 HACCP required;
Level 2 preferred - At least two years of supervisory experience
- Experience with ISO systems and Health and Safety
