Temporary Math and Science Teacher

Barrhead Composite High School seeks a Temporary Part Time Math and Science Teacher for grades 7-12, starting August 27, 2026. Bring your educational technology expertise and passion for teaching.

This position requires a valid Alberta teaching certificate and successful classroom experience. You will engage in collaborative instructional practices, utilizing Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction strategies. Additionally, you should participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute positively to the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Math and Science to Senior and Junior High students

• Collaborate effectively within a school team

• Utilize educational technology in lesson plans

• Establish a positive and safe classroom environment

• Foster strong home-school communication

Requirements:

• Valid Alberta teaching certificate

• Proven classroom teaching experience

• Understanding of Assessment and Differentiated Instruction
