Senior Accountant

A growing organization within the manufacturing and distribution sector is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role offers broad exposure across core accounting functions, cross-entity collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, this position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, and supporting internal stakeholders with reliable financial data.

• Track and review billing activity to detect inconsistencies and implement corrective actions
• Ensure daily financial and margin reports are accurate and consistent
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies as they arise
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries to meet internal deadlines
  
  Compile monthly account reconciliations and generate supporting schedules and reports
• Record and verify payroll-related journal entries on a biweekly basis
• Assist with audit requests by preparing supporting documentation and schedules
• Align intercompany accounts across entities to maintain accurate reporting
• Review commissions payable and verify sales data reconciliation
• Support special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as required

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger responsibilities
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Strong proficiency with enterprise accounting systems and advanced Excel capabilities
• Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communicator, capable of working independently and within a team
