Support Indigenous communities as a Financial Administrative Clerk with the Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle. This role emphasizes financial integrity and cultural safety in a 32-hour workweek.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this fixed-term role entails managing accounts payable and receivable, performing reconciliations, and ensuring organized record keeping. Your contributions will directly support BANAC's mission of empowering Indigenous communities through sound financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Issue customer invoices and process bill payments
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts effectively
• Enter journal entries and match supporting documents
• Maintain organized filing systems for tax compliance
• Fulfill other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in bookkeeping or accounting
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Deep understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Indigenous community engagement
