Accounting Support Specialist

Accounting Support $25.00–$27.00/hour | Full-Time | Onsite

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Support professional to join our client’s team at Innisfil, ON. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation, excellent attention to detail, and hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics
.

You’ll support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and audit preparation while working closely with the Financial Controller and cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Process and record daily financial transactions accurately and on time
• Verify that company procedures are followed when recording financial transactions
• Maintain and balance financial records using manual and computerized systems
• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balances for all legal entities
• Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial reports as required
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Monitor account status and assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, forecasting, and government remittances
• Support annual and government audits by providing required documentation and data
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial processing
• Maintain organized financial records and a professional, team-oriented work environment
• Support department goals and contribute to a positive workplace culture
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is required
• Experience with older versions of Sage accounting software is a strong asset
• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team

Compensation $25.00–$27.00 per hour
, based on experience and qualifications.
