Payroll Clerk

We are currently seeking a Payroll Clerk who is reliable, organized and works well both independently and as a team with minimal supervision.

Based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Taranis has built a solid reputation by providing industry-leading performance to clients in a variety of sectors. Taranis offers a wide range of services including road building, heavy construction, excavation, maintenance and demolition. This is a full-time position with a start date as soon as possible.

• Processing payroll in an accurate and timely manner
• Preparation of source deductions, Employer Health Tax remittances, WSIB premium calculations and union-related remittances
• Preparation of Records of Employment, T4’s and other documents
• Maintaining and updating confidential employee personnel files
• Assisting supervisors and management with payroll related matters
• Tracking of employee vacation requests and other absences
  
  Periodic account reconciliations for payroll related accounts
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience and/or education related to payroll, human resources or accounting is considered an asset
• Excellent communicator
• Friendly and professional
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail

Compensation package commensurate with experience and education
