Intermediate Assurance Accountant

Perform audits and prepare financial statements as an Intermediate Accountant with BDO’s Assurance team in Barrie. Work across varied client industries.

This intermediate position suits candidates with public accounting audit experience and CPA completion underway or achieved. You will prepare year-end engagements, develop working papers, and apply regulatory standards. The work serves private and publicly listed enterprises while building knowledge of business, assurance, and regulatory requirements.

• Handle audit tasks independently or within teams
• Prepare year-end engagements for diverse industries
• Perform audits and prepare regulatory financial statements
• Build client relationships and respond to requests
• Communicate progress and train staff

• Completed CPA designation or currently pursuing completion
• One to two years of public accounting audit experience
• Interest in private and publicly listed enterprises
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Commitment to teamwork, client service, and detailed quality
