Prepare complex tax returns and compliance filings as a Senior Staff Accountant with Baker Tilly in hybrid Collingwood, Ontario. Monday to Friday scheduling applies.
This permanent, full-time Senior Staff Accountant role serves Baker Tilly clients through tax, accounting, and financial statement preparation. You will handle individual and corporate returns, T4s, T5s, HST, and other compliance work. The position also involves client software updates, engagement coordination, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare complex individual and corporate tax returns
- Complete T4s, T5s, HST, and compliance returns
- Update ledgers, reconcile accounts, and review reports
- Collaborate on file planning and completion
- Train and mentor junior staff on engagements
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA considered an asset
- Minimum three years of public accounting experience
- In-depth accounting and tax knowledge
- Experience managing large engagements
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
