Job Summary

The AP and Administrative Clerk is responsible for providing financial and human resources administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of Huronia Transition Homes (HTH). This position supports accounts payable and receivable functions, assists with HR processes, and helps maintain accurate financial and personnel records while contributing to overall office coordination.

Responsibilities and Activities Human Resources
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews.
  • Keeping all human resource documentation tools in order and up-to-date
  • Prepare HR memos and correspondence as directed.
  • Maintain and update employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support onboarding processes, including documentation and coordination with internal teams.
  • Assist with ensuring required employee documentation is current (e.g., training, certifications).
  • Provide general administrative support to HR functions as needed.
Financial Support
  • Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, verification, and filing.
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including tracking and recording payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile petty cash on a regular basis.
  • Complete bank deposits andmaintainaccuratetransaction records.
  • Assist with reconciliation of supplier statements andidentifydiscrepancies.
  • Maintainorganized financial records and supporting documentation.
Office Coordination
  • Support with organizational purchasing and procurement
  • Distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintainfiling systems for financial and HR documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to finance and leadership teams.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure all financial and HR records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • File and organize documentsin accordance withorganizational policies
Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant subject (Office Administration, Business, HR)

  • 1-3 years experience in an administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with the way nonprofit organizations are structured
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must display interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written
