The Opportunity:

Weneed a Ward Clerk to join our Medical department. The Medical department hasa diverse patient population and a place where you will experience meaningful patient interactions while working with a fun and dedicated team.

As a Ward Clerk, you will playan important role in keeping the department running smoothly each day. You’ll help coordinate the flow of daily activities related to admissions, discharges, and transfer of patients. You will also help ensure the team has the supplies & equipment needed by coordinating requests with other departments.

Asthe successful applicant, you will do the following:

• Coordinate and complete order entry with accuracy & attention to detail
• Provide professional and welcoming phone reception, responding to inquiries &directing calls as appropriate
• Coordinate ambulance bookings & transportation arrangements to support safe &timely patient transfers
• Assemble,organize, sort and file documentation
• Communicate with other members of the healthcare team and other departments to coordinate careand keep daily operations running smoothly

• One year clerical and data entry experience

• Experience with Meditech Expanse
