As an Experienced Collections Agent, you will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts through high‑volume outreach and responsive inbound support. The ideal candidate is results‑driven, confident in negotiation, and able to balance firmness with empathy when working with customers experiencing financial challenges.

Compensation:
Starting at $19.50 per hour

What You’ll Do
  • Initiate outbound contact with unresponsive borrowers using predictive dialer, manual dialing, email, and SMS
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and identify suitable payment‑relief solutions
  • Handle inbound inquiries related to account status, payments, and repayment options
  • Maintain accurate account documentation and follow compliance guidelines
  • Meet productivity and performance targets in a high‑volume environment
  • Provide professional, respectful customer service while resolving sensitive financial situations
Work Experience
  • A minimum of 2‑year consumer collection experience

  • Financial literacy – understands and explains interest, per diem, loan terms, APR, and loan components
  • Knowledge of Canadian banking & financial services – applies regulatory and industry best practices to customer interactions, knowledge of credit rating & impact on the customer, credit bureau knowledge, and secured vs. unsecured lending
Location
  • This is a hybrid opportunity and requires ability to work onsite from our Barrie office located at 55 Mulcaster Street in Downtown Barrie
Shift Availability
  • Ability to work full‑time (40‑hours per week) year round
  • Flexible availability as shifts will be a mixture of mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
