Summer eLearning Teacher Position (Secondary) Teacher – Secondary eLearning Credit Programs

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of summer eLearning teacher.

Reporting to the principal(s) of Summer School/Adult and Continuing Education, the eLearning teachers will be responsible for the instructional delivery and daily student support for the duration of the program. Teachers are responsible for record-keeping and final reporting for their assigned course.

SCHEDULE FOR SUMMER eLEARNING SESSIONS:
  • SCDSB July full-credit courses:
    July 2 – July 24, 2026;
  • SCDSB July Civics half-credit course:
    July 2 – July 13, 2026;
  • SCDSB July Careers half-credit course:
    July 14 – July 24, 2026

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TEACHERS:
  • Implementing effective student assessment practices (e.g. descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment
  • Delivering full-credit course content through the virtual learning environment
  • Enhancing curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student engagement and foster deeper learning
  • Knowledge of the board‑appointed virtual learning environment (Brightspace by D2L)

All teaching positions will be available subject to student enrolment.
