Position: Daytime ESL Instructor Position Available
Location: Midhurst

Join Simcoe County District School Board as a temporary English as a Second Language Instructor. Teach diverse learners in various locations from September 2026 through June 2027.

We're looking for an ESL Instructor committed to supporting adult learners. This role requires a TESL Ontario Certificate and a deep understanding of the Canadian Language Benchmark framework. Candidates should be proficient with technology and possess strong communication skills, flexibility, and excellent organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging ESL instruction to adult learners

• Develop lesson plans tailored to student needs

• Assess student progress using the Canadian Language Benchmark

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and independently

• Respond to diverse learning styles effectively

Requirements:

• TESL Ontario Certificate required

• Strong understanding of the Canadian Language Benchmark framework

• Proficient computer skills and excellent communication abilities

• Flexibility to adapt to individual student needs

• Experience in adult ESL classrooms preferred
