Long Term Occasional Teaching Position

1.0 FTE LTO Intermediate / Senior Science - General

The current end date of this position is listed on the posting. The date may end earlier and notice will be given to the successful candidate as required in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

• Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Obtained the Intermediate and Senior basic qualifications, as well as Science - General qualifications
• Must possess at least two of the required qualifications listed for the position

Applicants who hold the specified qualifications will be given priority. If no applicant, both internally and externally, holds all required qualifications after the second posting, applicants with partial qualifications will be considered.

Applicants currently in a SMCDSB LTO that overlaps with the dates of this LTO will not be considered.

In accordance with the Central Terms of the Collective Agreement related to Hiring Practices, filling of long-term occasional assignments will occur without an in-person interview. The Board will staff long-term assignments from the three most senior qualified applicants who are available for the assignment, if there are no supernumerary teachers or teachers declared redundant placed into this long-term assignment.
